When Messrs Hyde and Strachan couldn’t find a modern fulfilment solution for the eCommerce business they ran, they decided to build their own.

We disrupt an industry
We propelled logistics into the 21st century with agile best practice and cloud-based technology. As a result, we grew 300% year-on-year.
2014
The Soil Association certifies us
In 2014, we became one of the first fulfilment centres in the world to be certified by the Soil Association. It enables us to handle a wide variety of organic products.
2016
We expand our locations
Two years later, we moved our headquarters from Cambridge to a larger fulfilment centre in Northampton. We also opened our first US location in Columbus, Ohio.
2018
The Fast Track 100 ranks us
We’re listed on a prestigious league table of Britain’s fastest-growing private companies (#83). This achievement follows a ranking among the European Inc. 5,000 in 2017.
2019
We join the FT1000
We were then listed on the FT1000 – the Financial Times’ list of Europe’s fastest-growing companies – for the second year running, thanks to consistent revenue and team growth.
2020
LDC invests £11 million in us
Shortly after our tenth birthday, we received our first outside investment – £11 million from private equity firm LDC, part of Lloyds Banking Group.

We win a second Queen’s Award
Having grown export sales 1,700% over five years, we won a second Queen’s Award for Enterprise – this time for International Trade, following a first for Innovation in 2016.

We join the Fast Track 100 for the second time
Securing our second Sunday Times Fast Track 100 ranking is a testament to our already-rapid growth trajectory. 2020’s special edition specifically highlights the important contribution that private companies have made to the UK during the Covid-19 pandemic.

We accelerate growth and move to our brand new, 600,000 sq ft fulfilment centre
We up-sticks and move to our brand new fulfilment centre which has an operational space six times the size of our previous site on Brackmills, Northampton. A significant moment in unlocking the next phase of our growth.

Our first site in Europe opens
We establish an operation in Venlo, Netherlands, to help our clients reach European customers more quickly and easily, overcoming many of the challenges posed by Brexit.

After several years of exceptional growth, J&J Global Fulfilment is named one of Europe’s fastest-growing businesses, securing a spot on the prestigious FT1000 list!

J&J expands down under
We travel over 10,000 miles to open our latest fulfilment centre in Brisbane, Australia. With this expansion, J&J now operates in five locations worldwide.

A major milestone: 25 million orders fulfilled!
We close the year on a high by celebrating our 25 millionth order dispatched from our fulfilment network—an early Christmas present to remember!

James and James becomes J&J Global Fulfilment
Reflecting our mission to empower clients to sell anywhere, to anyone, we rebrand as J&J Global Fulfilment, unveiling a fresh new look and feel.

Our sixth fulfilment centre opens
J&J heads to Canada to launch our sixth fulfilment centre. With three locations now across North America, we’re helping eCommerce brands access the world’s largest online shopping markets.
